We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Game Designer to help us shape one of our future projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in game development
- Experience and deep working knowledge of gameplay system creation
- Proficiency in: system design, balancing and design processes
- At least 1 shipped title as Game Designer
- Innovative thinker with creative problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of development processes, workflows, and tools
- Ability to work in highly collaborative environment, while delivering under deadlines
- To be or want to be A-player – What is the difference between an A-player and a B-player in the context of recruiting
Considered a plus:
- Console gaming experience is a plus
- Extensive gameplay experience in Space Engineers
- Modding experience in Space Engineers is a strong plus
Responsibilities:
- Design and write specifications, prototype new gameplay systems
- Work with the team to define the high-level designs for gameplay
- Work with programmers as well as artists to implement, tune and balance new gameplay
- Ensure that players can use the systems provided to play the game in multiple, equally compelling ways
- Analyse, validate and incorporate feedback from the team and external user testing
