HIS NEW GENERAL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMPANY
CEO Marek Rosa personally invested $10M USD into general AI development
Prague, Czech Republic (July 7, 2015) – Independent developer Keen Software House is announcing GoodAI, a sister company in general artificial intelligence. The studio aims to create a truly general AI brain – one which operates at the level of a human brain and can adapt and learn any new task. GoodAI development is currently separate from video game development, but this does not mean that the AI technology will be kept out of the games. Keen Software House has plans to implement general artificial intelligence into its Engineers series. This means that players can look forward to an innovative AI that will bring a totally new experience to the games.
GoodAI’s artificial brain has one distinct advantage over most companies in the AI field. The GoodAI brain will be general and universal, meaning that the same brain can be implemented in every context and industry. While some AI companies are focusing on narrow AI applications, such as driverless cars or facial recognition software, GoodAI is making a general AI brain that can do any task put in front of it. The AI will drive smart cars, or take the form of a personal assistant, rescue robot, video game designer, or space explorer.
“I’m so glad to announce our AI project to the public,” said Marek Rosa, CEO and founder. “The potential here is immense. Doing nothing would be a much greater risk than taking a chance with such a project, and we’ve already seen results. The general AI brain could also be implemented into our games or even used as a game designer with infinite brainpower and creative capabilities. I can’t wait to see how our AI disrupts the gaming industry!”
GoodAI will release its first side product this month: Brain Simulator, the team’s collaborative platform where researchers can build and share AI brain modules that function as capacities of the human brain (e.g. visual, speech, or tactile capabilities). GoodAI will release the first artificial intelligence modules for this platform for free under and open source, non-commercial license to support collaborative efforts from the community.
